ABOUT THE SHOW

sarAika presents “L Train,” a 38 min contemporary/conceptual dance performance, divided into 7 acts with different themes, involving 6 dances, a narrator, MTA recordings, and spoken words. The choreography is based on partnering, floorwork, improvisation, storytelling, and street style influences. “L Train” speaks about us – about the uncomfortable common sensation that we are not in control. Even if one moment, right now, is precious, it will not last forever. Everything is subject to change. Where is the stability? At the end, life seems like the L train line: everyone goes in the same direction, but nobody has the same destination.
